Help us make LSD better!
Tell us what's important to you
@menherachan: aw im so sorry :( that 120k at USC looks nice tho 👀👀
13:23
@manifestT14acceptances: oh yeah im very thankful for the usc a! i'll be an LA girlie for 3 years
13:23
@aziza: which school? and when did you do it
WhatAreWeDoingHere
13:25
Is anyone still waiting on SMU
13:25
richmond
13:25
about a week and a half ago
13:27
what did you say in it
13:27
I called them a few weeks back and nothing happened lol
i remember you was conflicted
misusing your influence
sometimes i did the same
glove you changed your top choice!
only because i was too puss to keep penn there knowing i can get a 180 and still prolly end up getting the R
13:46
FWIW 3.26/172+ got about 20% of applicants into Penn based on the last 3 cycles' data
13:49
Penn's whole thing is hitting their medians by admitting a lot of people who are above one median and far enough below the other median that they won't get into (and attend) a HYS/T6 instead
13:51
And/or targeting splitter at or just above their median (172, 173, 174) instead of way above, again to minimize T6 cross-admits
that is interesting to note, where did you find the 20% number just thru LSD?
13:54
@GloveDontSplitUMustAcquit: Yes
also gives me the little flame of hope i need lmao
13:54
Keyed 3.26/172+ into the "chance me" tool, data for non-URMs over the last three cycles
13:54
Dang I forgot how tricky PT 88's LR section 4 is
i would feel so validated and motivated if i got into penn or a place like it
13:56
3.5 to 3.7/172 to 174 has almost 3x the acceptance % to Penn (26%) of 3.7-3.9/175+ (10%), very obvious yield protection

13:57
do you all think sls will make any WL admits this cycle? they seem full
13:58
At the end of the day, you may or may not get an A, but you currently don't have a Penn A, so at worst you're in the same position and out $45
13:58
Good luck!
14:00
@legallydillydallying: This depends on whether yield of RD admits (hard to estimate from this site) comes in above or below SLS' projections (impossible to estimate for anyone outside SLS), your guess is as good as anyone's
