it's gotta be about your why you're going to law school. It's not like undergrad where you can trauma dump and they let you in. It has to be purposeful and motivating why you're going to law school now

essays shouldn't be trauma dumps lol, like touch upon the challenges you've faced, but you need to talk about how you overcame them and how it would be a benefit to law school/the legal field

no yes my current one was about how i wanna pursue disability law and having a disability while listening to people debate whether i should have rights in ethics bowl. it was rly specific and worked super well i promise

TL;DR of what I've seen from a few deans is that you don't need to completely rewrite your personal statement (unless your reasons for going to law school have totally changed in the last year) but they like to see some improvements if you're doing another cycle

An admissions person I met with told me that mine was affective, wrote about how a disease got me to this point/the skills I learned form managing it are import skills for Lawyers
