That is absolutely not a fact
Going from below median to above median at most T14s is in fact a big deal
@standingonbusiness same, like the others I prepped for a whole year and after 2 to 3 months of consistent 174s on PTs i scored a 161 on my actually exam... Standardized testing is as much a mental health game as it is material. I regrouped and took a few months to really focus on my mental health and managing my anxiety and i ended up with a 169. Not my best, and im sure if i kept with it i could have eventually preformed as well as I was on practice exams, but it was good enough for me. my advice would be to make sure you make time to take care of your mental space.

I do not want to doxx meself too bad, but i have perfect gpa/application minus my 166 lsat - 170+ lsat is all that matters despite law school propaganda trying to get apps to lower the acceptance rate.

I’m missing some of the context but yeah scoring above or at a school’s median, even it’s just a one point difference in lsat, is enormous
I just survived the shitshow that was the August test and said never again
@CTCSH: i love u im praying for ur success
good advice, thank you. I should do that

Also it’s pretty normal to go from scoring 170s to 160s on the first try and it’s not because the real thing is actually more difficult but nerves
@ararara: were discussing if someone who has a bad gpa to retake a 169

@HomelyLyingMouse: do not waste the RAM lol i am just taking lsat for me at this point, law achool dream is all but dead lol I figure fuck it, smart enough to grt those lsat scores but not on test day, might as well go become a poker millionaire
a 3.8 is not bad lol

@HomelyLyingMouse: thanks I’d say depends on how bad the gpa is and which school it is also
9:55
lmaooo dude
9:55
it's me i have a 3.82
@HomelyLyingMouse: a 3.8x is not a bad GPA jesus christ lmao
3.8 is a stellar GPA, just not in the terrifying circlejerk of law school admissions
i just want a high 170s lsat score i would be able to breathe so much easier every day of my damn life
It's below median, yes, which makes being above LSAT median that much more important

A 3.82 to a school with a 3.85 median is like a 170 to a school with a 171 median - might as well be 120. 3.8 is great, but below median so might as well be a 2.2
as someone with a 3.83, 3.82 is trash the .01 makes all the difference
@GloveDontSplitUMustAcquit: i did too. I did lsat for 26 months, took the real exam 4 times, did every PT and could not get out of the 160s
So im calling it a day and going w temple. Its been brutal lol

i did three months of studying and was PTing in mid 170s but i had cramps like an mf on test day
9:57
pted at 178-180 for two months and scored 172 lol. needed better with my gpa
9:58
got a 164, GPA is a 4.08. planning on retaking in june since I was scoring between 169-172 in the PTs two weeks before the test. still, if dont improve on the june test by much, would it be a good strategy to blanket the T14? kjd btw
