@GloveDontSplitUMustAcquit: I agree and that's why I wanted to place it in the context of Columbia. Everything happening there is standard to what's happening at other major unis

Professors and students shouldn’t be supporting students disrupting final exams or shouting antisemitism slogans. Supporting Palestine isn’t antisemitic. Shouting intifada clearly is. Connotations matter. Hate speech is your right. Consequenceless hate speech is not.
Occupying a library or a building where exams are scheduled would be disruptive. Having to walk around a protest when you cross the quad is not disruptive (by that standard, bog-standard frat antics or students tossing a frisbee are also disruptive)
please dont yell at me but im sure none of the universities have divested anything the encampments claim to be asking them to boycot, so why do they constantly say thats the reason they are still therer

Intifada has historically been associated with terrorist acts and violence against jews. It's been frequently used by terorrist agencies. Context matters. If a community is telling you something is antisemitic or racist, you should have the decency not to say it. https://www.ajc.org/translatehate/Globalize-the-Intifada

@BasedBonobo: You can be concerned with the situation in Gaza and also not be antisemitic. Placing a false dichotomy on the issue is cowardly and incorrect. You're capable of nuance.
