@trees1234567: Sorry to hear the cycle has not gone how you hoped :(

@manifestT14acceptances: I got it on my first try! I took a course and felt like I underperformed on test day with a bunch of tech issues and such
13:33
Finding a quality tutor took me from a 147 diagnostic to PTing in the high 160s/low 170s

I had done the Princeton Review course over the summer last year but I ended up scoring just a 151 on the Aug LSAT that year

appreciate you all :) I am writing my LOCIs and will keep the faith!
@trees1234567: ok im super excited for you to take it after studying then it's gonna be so good
13:33
but having that one-on-one attention and being able to pinpoint my weaknesses was such a blessing

At 3.83/164, raising that LSAT to school medians will hopefully change a lot. Schools hit their medians by taking lots of splitters (they could not fill their class with above-both applicants) - it's a very different situation than applying below both medians
13:34
(Lots of splitters and reverse splitters)
13:35
did someone say splitter
13:36
I need someones UN to be SplitterNotAQuitter
13:36
i'm vaguely close
there def is someone w that UN
13:36

@manifest well I studied for a while in my 2 attempts, but feel like my class was not the way for me to make progress (I was PTing in the mid 170s on my second attempt and so it was a bummer to not improve my score at all) but also thank you all!! @jb I agree - I feel like the WLs show that the rest of my app was where it needed to be but I needed an LSAT at/much closer to school medians to get myself to an A (I'm out of messages so writing an essay here)
I got into HLS while being below both medians and nURM. I even got Harvard’s first ever full tuition grant! I wrote a masterclass guide on what did on my LSD profile, this is me paying it forward for all the great information I got from here and Reddit.

@trees1234567: if you were PTing mid 170s then that’s more indicative of test anxiety, issues with test week routine, or test day issues

It sounds like you grasp the material
@trees1234567: ok that makes sense! i only asked because sometimes people with higher diagnostic scores find that tutors actually don't help them very much because they actually already ~know~ most of the material they just need to grind it, when I looked into becoming a tutor it seemed like a lot of it was focused on helping people who like really just didn't understand the LSAT. having a tutor would def not hurt and i mean depending on your home life/how many pre-law people you know, just having someone in your corner to talk to about it would be helpful to.
*helpful too whoop

@wasp I agree - I certainly have test anxiety! @splitter that is such a fun guide; I am going to save and read it @manifest I feel like having a tutor will help me get over the hump on the highest level questions and diagnose some issues that I cannot seem to put a finger on!
@trees1234567: that makes sense! best of luck!!
Honestly tutors/prep books can only take you so far. Once you know what each question type wants its all about grinding material and deep personal review
also yall how the fiuclk do i write a LOCI
