Transferring from a T6 is almost never worth it, the grades required to transfer to a T3 can get you 99% of competitive outcomes from a T6

If you have a 3.9 at a T6, profs will be tripping over each other to write rec letters and otherwise connect you to opportunities. Giving that up and rolling the dice on rank, networking, prof relationships (all starting from scratch) at HYS would be a big risk
