That’s how it goes. If you do good work people depend on you more then on top of that if you get along with the people you work with they look at you as a “friend” or something and take advantage of you more. Be careful! Make sure to put on your own gas mask first.

if you got student loans, the 3 years dont get you that much. clerking you're gonna get a fat signing bump but you're making 60k while clerking so you gotta make that work for you and the loans stay ticking
