a massive wl wave is imminent

Go by day of the week not by exact date, looks like they’re behind
TwinPeacock
14:46
They’re def ramping up!
also i strongly recommend taking lsat advice from people in any score range not just 165+ this would help you avoid survivorship bias and get input that could be more relevant to whatever needs you specifically have
Grab-The-Lantern
14:47
Noted.
14:49
I’d ask people who improved a lot
eggbagel
14:49
do schools make you withdraw from pending wl decisions or could you theoretically hop waitlists if you accepted one and then got a better offer
14:50
But lsat isnt complicated and there is no secret resource. Just go with any of them and if u don’t like it try another one. Generally, 7Sage for LG, lsat lab and demon/lsatlab for LR/RC are well regarded

14:50
Yeah two huge tips I can give are dial in your routine two weeks before the test. Make your caffeine/substance use normalized and get your sleep dialed in. Not sleeping before the test is a killer.
eggbagel
14:50
i regret not exploring other resources more cause i just stuck with 7sage but whatever it is what it is
@eggbagel: assuming you applied RD you are allowed to stay on waitlists and pending apps

14:51
And the other tip is to find the volume of studying that works for you. Some people do way better on 20 hours a week than 40 hours a week and vice versa
14:51
I used LSAT Demon a few years ago, and it was the best thing for me honestly
eggbagel
14:51
yeah youd probably be wasting sm money on seat deposits though lmao
NarwhalOfLife
14:51
not wasted invested
Feel like the test requires practice more than studying. Like repetition was the most effective for me. With blind review tho

14:52
The LSAT scared me so much last yr I did the GRE instead. After LSAT demon im doing much better but would do Aug exam so I can skip LGs
GRE was so nice. Such an easy test
eggbagel
14:52
i was pting consistently in the low 170s but couldnt break 170 on the actual test :(
eggbagel
14:53
well the proctors were awful so that did not help. but whatever i never want to think about the lsat ever again
TwinPeacock
14:53
GRE wasn’t easy I did like a 9 wk class in the evenings just in case
eggbagel
14:53
gre feels much easier than the lsat
for the GRE I just did the 5lb manhatten prep book and got a 338
if you are the type of person to take as many practice tests as possible i recommend saving the more recent ones for closer to your test date as well. that might be obvious but some people do complain about running out of recent pts
TwinPeacock
14:54
GRE is reading, math and vocab. I had stacks of flash cards. Its all a mess lol
eggbagel
14:55
gre vocab section kinda fun lowkey
i did use the anki app on my phone for flash cards. Wife used to quiz me while I drove places. good times
KnowledgeableRitzyWasp
14:55
@eggbagel: yeah the test day honestly feels like a competition day in like a sport or chess club or something. It’s so much more about managing anxiety and dialing in your routine than the PTs.
14:55
@manifestT14acceptances: that is great advice. I remember burning through my PTs way faster than I anticipated.
eggbagel
14:56
yeah wasp i took it the first 2 times they used prometric so it was a complete mess
