Hard to interpret outcome + stats in a vacuum

would it be insane to turn down a full ride at a t20 and reapply after getting more work experience.
egg are you not feeling minny also lol
eggbagel
17:15
im torn because on one hand. it’s a full ride and im sure if i go it’ll be fine but on the other hand if im having this many doubts about it doesn’t that mean it’s not right
eggbagel
17:15
yes burg
17:15
@pug … oh god here we go
babybunny
17:15
if you reapply do you need to get new LORs from profs or do they get saved?
^also curious about this
eggbagel
17:16
pretty sure you can reuse lors

Saved for 5 years

@eggbagel: i think it depends what type of person u r. like for me, i'm constantly acknowledging the benefits and drawbacks of certain decisions to the point where nothing ever feels PERFECT. not in a pessimistic way, but having doubts can be a reasonable way to feel
17:16
but if ur someone who sometimes is like IM ALL INNNNN and then in this instance youre not, i'd say that's a diff story
eggbagel
17:17
i feel like i have a lot of regrets over my cycle and i feel like i could have done some things better re my apps but at the same time I’m scared that if I do turn this down I could end up worse off next year
17:18
I’m on my way to get my nails done rn and I really don’t wanna cry in the nail salon GULC
eggbagel
17:18
also i have been a little freaked over the employment outcomes since i 100% know I don’t want to stay in the Midwest
ahhhh
SeanStrickland2024
17:19
dont go to a regional school in a region you dont like lmao
17:19
valid yeah i hopped in this convo knowing very little about your circumstances
[] ararara
17:19
@eggbagel: is your lsat score above medians?
eggbagel
17:19
4.low/169
17:19
@eggbagel: I would be wary of attending a school that places 3/4 of grads in the Midwest if you don't want to work there
eggbagel
17:20
a lot of it is self selection or that’s what they say because it’s easier to find jobs in the region but the numbers still worry me
[] ararara
17:20
Imo you should be studying rn for a retake
eggbagel
17:20
I took the test 4 times
[] ararara
17:20
There's still time for June even
eggbagel
17:21
idk if it’ll go up any further atp which is my dilemma
[] ararara
17:21
That doesn't matter if you can get the score plus you have nothing to lose except time

17:21
@jb2028: u right - my softs are like T2.5 and I'm not a URM (schools are chicago, UVA, Berkeley, georgetown, UCLA, vandy as WLs)
[] ararara
17:21
You might as well try June imo but you would be dedicating time and money
eggbagel
17:22
uggghh gonna go for a walk maybe that’ll clear my head
