I called last week & they said they were BARELY getting to late Nov applicants. This makes no sense.

@TargaryenDragonQueen: I don’t think they’re full either, admits vs. yield are super different? I know it’s a small pool on here but still. I did an info session and the admissions person said they’re still trying to get through it’s just a very small team.

17:46
@LoneStarPossum: yea, I think a lot of us have been calling bc we keep hearing different things! I know they have batches of applicants from December-Jan that are waiting for decisions. I just wonder when their larger waves will finally come through. Their seat deposits are due April 15th??? Their ASDs are also coming up.

Whyre you asking if their class is full? What is making you say that ?
TheLeprechaunLawyer
17:58
Did you hear that somewhere? A message like that is gonna cause mass panic if it’s just pure speculation.

19:38
@TheLeprechaunLawyer: I can ask whatever I want. This is what this forum is for…I’m obviously asking bc so many of us have yet to hear from NDLS but we have people in the general chat & reddit saying classes are almost full. So they’re essentially telling me that hopes for more A waves are slim. Everything in LSD & REDDIT is mere speculation. No numbers here are fully accurate. Literally why I am asking other people who have already had their decisions sent to them 🙄. Pls back off.

Not to freak anybody out, but I called NDLS and they said they are NOT making any guarantees that they will have decisions rendered by the second deposit deadline, which is June. Essentially they are asking us to wait and be patient, but to expect a response before class starts, including applicants who have NOT been waitlisted yet. This is honestly sooo disgruntling. If someone else can call them & maybe see if they say the same thing or if I just had a pessimistic adcomm officer. I did not provide any personal info to them btw
What NDLS website says "May The bulk of any admissions offers will likely occur in April and May. The Admissions Committee may continue to make offers through the summer as necessary. "
Well that's news I suppose. At least its my top school so I'll wait if needed. Better to still be in contention than rejected after all.
When did you apply?
My issue is, why haven't they sent a mass email to everyone who is still waiting? It's like they haven't learned from their 2021 mistakes. Their website also says we should hear back by April 15th, so there's so many mixed messages.
I applied late november, and maybe for applicants they are unsure about yet they want to see if they're are actually their top school and are willing to wait past deadline for a decision
Just a random guess tho if what you said about april and later is right. I have nothing to cite for this claim.
@Seagulleagle10: I sure hope that's the case. But applicants pay a fee & expect to have decisions rendered by whatever their websites say, so it's a bit confusing hearing an adcomm officer saying they cannot guarantee a decision until later. So why call it rolling admissions then when later applicants are getting decisions sooner? Sorry, I'm just taken aback by my recent convo with this lady.
Yeah fair enough it is frustrating, my hope is with that extra time they are using it to hopefully properly assess us as applicants and not just as numbers or class size.
I’ll try to be more positive about this, but I was hoping to attend ASD if I got an A this week.
